The world is in a very unstable space right now. At the time of writing this post there are several conflicts raging which threaten to worsen, and many of us can sense that we are living in a tinderbox moment.
Before I dive into today’s topic, I would like to bring to your attention the fact that I don’t actually like or believe in the word ‘amateur’ regarding singers. I still used this word in my article title because much of society and most beginner singers, singers with limited experience, or informally trained singers still view themselves as such – not so! Sometimes in life we need to pause and take time to buddy up with someone who can be our champion or a second pair of ears, to listen to our hearts, hear us out, offer a new perspective, build connection, and find community. Before we know it, a whole new world of love and learning can then open up for us.
