Welcome to Be Free To Sing

Be Free To Sing is where adults with very minimal or no singing experience can learn about the basics of finding vocal freedom that really work!

Do you want to sing as a hobby for yourself, your family, in the shower, for mental health - whatever?!  I offer lessons for individuals to come together with other absolute beginners to learn how to sing in a supportive, small group environment online, all from the comfort and privacy of their homes.

I have over twenty years’ experience singing with church choirs and as a cantor at sacred liturgies, weddings, and funerals.  Many times in the liturgy, the sound of voices accompanied by the magnificent pipe organ and other instruments, or simply singing old a cappella hymns has been a profoundly spiritual experience for me.  As a long-time singer, I have a deep understanding of what it is like to be in the mind and heart of a singer.

Thanks to my teacher I am an enthusiast of the Bel Canto ("beautiful singing") approach which can help you improve your natural voice to sing with more confidence and ease.  Using this approach, I can show you how to discover the beauty of your God-given voice, being free to sing in an uncomplicated and enjoyable way.
